Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Buffalo Chicken Pizza loaded with tangy buffalo sauce, shredded chicken, and melty cheese. An easy homemade pizza that's better than takeout.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Pizza dough store bought or homemade
  • 1 1/2 cup Chicken cooked, shredded
  • 3 tbsp Buffalo sauce for chicken
  • 3 tbsp Buffalo sauce for dough
  • 1 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 3 tbsp Romano cheese shredded

Garnish

  • 2 tbsp Blue cheese dressing
  • 2 tbsp Blue cheese crumbles

Optional Garnish

  • Celery leaves
  • Green onion
  • Buffalo sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with 3 tablespoons of buffalo sauce and mix until evenly coated.

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle.

  • Spread the remaining 3 tablespoons of buffalo sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.

  • Evenly distribute the buffalo chicken over the sauce.
  • Top with the mozzarella and Romano cheeses.

  • Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and optionally garnish with celery leaves, green onions, blue cheese crumbles, blue cheese dressing, or additional buffalo sauce. Slice and serve.

Notes

If your shredded chicken is very moist (common with rotisserie chicken), warm it briefly in a skillet before tossing it with the buffalo sauce. This helps cook off excess moisture so it doesn’t release liquid while baking and make the pizza crust soggy.
