Muffuletta Spirals Recipe

A mouthwatering muffuletta creation filled with swirls of a hearty filling of hand-held heaven. Can't get to New Orleans, bring New Orleans to you!

Ingredients

Bread Dough

Muffuletta Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive salad
  • 1/4 oz Ham Thinly sliced
  • 1/4 oz Genoa salami Thinly sliced
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese
  • 3 tbsp Romano cheese Grated, optional

Instructions

  • Shape dough on a lightly floured surface to 18" x 12" rectangle.
  • Spread the olive loaf evenly over dough, leaving about an inch bare at the top.
  • Add the ham, genoa salami, and provolone cheese, also leaving one inch bare at the top of your dough.
  • Starting at the bottom, begin to roll dough into a log shape. At the end, pinch the dough together, sealing it.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 equal pieces and place in a 13" x 9" baking pan. Cover, and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reads 200 degrees F.
  • Remove from oven and place spirals on a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Serve warm.
