Ingredients

  • 12 Savory King's Hawaiian rolls 1 package
  • 1/2 lb Deli Ham
  • 1/2 lb Deli Genoa Salami
  • 1/4 lb Deli pepperoni
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup Banana peppers drained, dried
  • 1/4 cup Red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Italian salad dressing Or Italian sub dressing
  • 2 cup Iceberg lettuce shredded, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tbsp Romano cheese grated. Parm is fine as well.
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half, keeping them connected as one slab. Place the bottom half on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.
    12 Savory King's Hawaiian rolls
  • Layer the provolone cheese evenly over the bottom rolls. Top with the ham, salami, pepperoni, banana peppers, and red onion. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
1/2 lb Deli Ham, 1/2 lb Deli Genoa Salami, 1/4 lb Deli pepperoni, 8 slices Provolone cheese, 1/2 cup Banana peppers, 1/4 cup Red onion
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and Italian seasoning. Brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with the Romano cheese.
2 tbsp butter, 2 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 tbsp Romano cheese
  • Bake uncovered for about 15 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden brown. Loosely cover with aluminum foil and continue baking for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
  • While the sliders bake, combine the shredded lettuce, mayonnaise, and Italian dressing in a medium bowl. Toss until evenly coated.
2 tbsp Mayonnaise, 2 tbsp Italian salad dressing, 2 cup Iceberg lettuce
  • Remove the sliders from the oven. Carefully lift off the tops and spread the lettuce mixture evenly over the sandwiches.
  • Replace the tops, slice into individual sliders, and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best texture, add the dressed lettuce after baking. This keeps the lettuce crisp and gives the sliders that classic Italian sub flavor with a contrast of warm meats and cool toppings.
