Firecracker Chex Mix

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup Itty Bitty Mini pretzels
  • 1 cup Mixed nuts
  • 1 cup Cheez-Itz crackers
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 3 tbsp Dry ranch seasoning 1 ounce package
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 tsp Red pepper flakes more or less to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250°F.
  • In a large roasting pan with sides melt the butter while the oven is preheating.
    1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, dry ranch seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Add the cereals, mixed nuts, pretzels, and cheese crackers. Toss gently to coat evenly.
    3 cups Corn Chex cereal, 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal, 3 cups Rice Chex cereal, 1 cup Itty Bitty Mini pretzels, 1 cup Mixed nuts, 3 tbsp Dry ranch seasoning, 1 1/2 tsp Garlic powder, 1 tsp Onion powder, 2 tsp Red pepper flakes, 1 cup Cheez-Itz crackers
  • Bake for 1 hour, gently stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely before serving.

Notes

Alternately, you can gently stir the cereal and other add-ins in a large bowl. Melt the butter in a small bowl and stir in the seasonings. Drizzle the butter over the cereal and toss gently to coat evenly. Pour into a large roasting pan and bake.
