Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz packages Cream Cheese room temperature
  • 2 cups finely shredded Sharp cheddar cheese plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1 1 oz package Ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 6 slices Bacon cooked crisp and diced, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped Pecans
  • 2 tbsp chopped Green onions

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, half of the bacon, ranch seasoning, and black pepper until smooth and evenly combined.
2 8 oz packages Cream Cheese, 2 cups finely shredded Sharp cheddar cheese, 1 1 oz package Ranch seasoning mix, 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper, 6 slices Bacon
  • Lay a large piece of plastic wrap out on a flat surface. Transfer the cheese mixture onto the plastic wrap and use it to help shape the mixture into a ball. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
  • In a shallow bowl, combine the remaining diced bacon, chopped pecans, green onions, and 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
1/4 cup chopped Pecans, 2 tbsp chopped Green onions
  • Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and roll it in the topping mixture, gently pressing the coating onto all sides until completely covered. Serve with your favorite crackers, pretzels, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Let the cream cheese soften completely before mixing.
  • Shred your own cheddar for the smoothest texture.
  • Cook the bacon until crisp so it doesn’t become chewy.
  • If making ahead, wait until serving day to roll it in the topping for the freshest texture.
