Brownie Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Unsweetened chocolate baking squares 4 squares
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 cups Semisweet chocolate chips divided
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Toasted chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium-size saucepan over low heat, combine the butter, unsweetened chocolate squares, and 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips. Cook stirring constantly until the butter and chocolate are melted. Set aside to cool.
  • In a medium-size bowl whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla at medium speed until combined. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture beating until blended.
  • Add the chocolate mixture and beat until blended.
  • Stir in the remaining 1 cup of chocolate chips and toasted pecans.
  • Drop the brownie batter by 2 tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets 1-inch apart.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
