- 4 oz Unsweetened chocolate baking squares 4 squares
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 cups Semisweet chocolate chips divided
- 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
- 4 large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups Toasted chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium-size saucepan over low heat, combine the butter, unsweetened chocolate squares, and 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips. Cook stirring constantly until the butter and chocolate are melted. Set aside to cool.
In a medium-size bowl whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.
In a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla at medium speed until combined. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture beating until blended.
Add the chocolate mixture and beat until blended.
Stir in the remaining 1 cup of chocolate chips and toasted pecans.
Drop the brownie batter by 2 tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets 1-inch apart.
Bake for 12-14 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
