- 9 oz oyster crackers
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons dried red pepper flakes (more or less as desired)
Place oyster crackers in a gallon zip lock bag. (or plastic container with a lid)
9 oz oyster crackers
Mix oil and seasonings in a small bowl or measuring cup.
1/2 cup canola oil, 1 packet ranch seasoning mix, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 2 tablespoons dried red pepper flakes
Pour seasoning mixture evenly over the crackers and gently mix to coat.
Shake every 5 minutes or so until crackers are coated and no oil settles in the bottom of the bag.
Spice Level - 2 tablespoons of the dried red pepper flakes are pretty spicy to me but my husband loves it. So you can add more or less to your preference.
You can substitute mini saltine crackers. Or use regular saltine crackers but because they are denser and larger than oyster crackers they will require a little bit more oil let them rest in the bag for a couple of hours.
Make Ahead - These tasty seasoned oyster crackers taste better the next day. So go ahead and make them a few days ahead of an event.
Storing - Place the seasoned crackers in an air-tight container and keep them at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
