Want some burnt ends but don't want to use pork belly or a brisket? This is a perfectly tasty, smoky, sticky sweet solution!  Pork butt burnt ends!

Prepare your favorite rub. If you don't have one, you need to try ours!

Combine all the rub spices or use your favorite.

Trim away the fat cap from the pork butt.

Cut pork into 1 1/2 inch squares.

Place the cubed pork butt into a large aluminum tray.

Coat with mustard (binder) and add the rub.

DON'T SWEAT THE RECIPE

Completely coat the pork butt cubes with rub.

Place the cubes onto some baking cooling racks.

Place in smoker at 225 degrees using your preferred wood.

Smoked for app. 1 hour or until the internal temp is 165 degrees F.

Add apple and pineapple juice to pan. Cover, and return to smoker at 275 degrees F. for 1 1/2 hours.

When ready, remove and drain the braising liquid.

Add hot honey, bbq sauce, brown sugar, butter, and a bit more rub. Combine well. Place back into smoker for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from the smoker and allow to rest for 15 minutes before serving.

If you want them to really tack up, you can place them back onto the cooling racks and place back in for about 15 more minutes.
